Limited Warranty

Reef Riders LLC ("Reef Riders") warrants to the original retail purchaser that a new Reef Riders sea scooter and the components listed above will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal personal, recreational use during the applicable warranty period.
 

This warranty applies only to authentic products purchased directly from Reef Riders or an authorized Reef Riders seller in the United States. It is not transferable and does not cover products purchased for resale, rental, commercial tours, or other commercial use unless Reef Riders agrees otherwise in writing.

Coverage begins on the date the product is delivered to the original purchaser. The scooter, hand controller, and charger are covered for 12 months. The removable lithium-ion battery is covered for 6 months. A repaired or replacement product or part is covered for the longer of the remainder of the original period or 90 days, unless applicable law requires longer coverage.

If Reef Riders confirms a covered defect, Reef Riders will, at its option and without charge for parts or labor: (a) repair the product with new or functionally equivalent parts; (b) replace the product or component with a new or refurbished product of comparable function and value; or (c) provide a refund when repair or replacement is not reasonably available, or when the customer agrees to a refund. These are the remedies provided by this Limited Warranty, subject to rights that cannot be limited by law.
 

Reef Riders will pay reasonable, authorized shipping costs for a valid covered claim. We may require return of the product or affected component before providing a remedy. Any replaced product or part becomes Reef Riders property where permitted by law.

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear, scratches, fading, cosmetic damage, or ordinary battery-capacity loss that does not result from a defect;

• Damage caused by accident, impact, dropping, collision, sand or debris ingestion, abuse, neglect, theft, fire, freezing, excessive heat, or improper storage or transportation;

• Water intrusion caused by an improperly installed or unsecured battery or cover, a dirty, pinched, dry, missing, or damaged seal or O-ring, failure to inspect or maintain seals, opening the product in wet or sandy conditions, or other failure to follow the owner’s manual;

• Use beyond published limits, including depth, temperature, charging, runtime, towing, or environmental limits; use in unsafe conditions; or use as lifesaving or emergency-rescue equipment;

• Improper charging; use of an unapproved charger, battery, part, or accessory; electrical surges; depleted storage; or battery handling contrary to the owner’s manual;

• Unauthorized disassembly, modification, repair, alteration, software or firmware tampering, removed or altered serial numbers, or damage caused by third-party products;

• Commercial, rental, instructional, tour, competition, or fleet use unless expressly authorized in writing; and

• Loss of use, travel costs, rental costs, recovery costs, lost data, lost profits, or other incidental or consequential losses, except where such exclusions are prohibited by law.
   

A warranty claim will not be denied merely because a third-party part or service was used. Any exclusion applies only when the excluded condition or conduct caused or contributed to the claimed damage or failure, as permitted by law.

Before returning anything, email info@reefriderstours.com with:
 

• Your name, order number, proof of purchase, and product serial number;

• A description of the issue and when it began; and

• Clear photographs or video reasonably requested to help diagnose the issue.
   

Reef Riders may provide troubleshooting steps or ask you to stop using the product. Do not ship a damaged, swollen, leaking, unusually hot, recalled, or potentially defective lithium-ion battery. Wait for written packaging and carrier instructions. Returns sent without authorization or contrary to dangerous-goods requirements may be refused.

You are responsible for backing up or removing any personal accessories and for packaging the product as instructed. Reef Riders is not responsible for items sent with the product that were not requested.

The sea scooter is recreational equipment, not a flotation device, personal lifesaving appliance, or substitute for swimming ability, supervision, training, judgment, or appropriate safety equipment. Stop using the product and contact Reef Riders if it behaves unexpectedly, shows battery damage, or may be unsafe.

THIS WARRANTY IS A "LIMITED WARRANTY." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE APPLICABLE WRITTEN-WARRANTY PERIOD STATED ABOVE. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THIS LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REEF RIDERS IS NOT LIABLE UNDER THIS WARRANTY FOR INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THIS LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Non-defective, unused returns are governed by the Reef Riders Returns & Refund Policy. Website use, orders, dispute procedures, and other matters are governed by the Reef Riders Terms of Service. If those documents conflict with this Limited Warranty concerning warranty coverage or remedies, this Limited Warranty controls.
